Method & Assumptions

• Traditional planetary hours: sunrise to sunset is divided into twelve equal daytime hours, and sunset to the next sunrise into twelve equal nighttime hours, so they are rarely sixty minutes long. The first hour after sunrise belongs to the day ruler, and the hours follow the traditional order: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon.
• The day begins at sunrise: a birth before sunrise belongs to the preceding planetary day.
• Your birthplace’s own sky: sunrise and sunset are calculated for your birth city with standard atmospheric refraction, using the historical time zone and daylight saving time in effect when you were born.
• Soul contract language: the planetary rulers belong to traditional astrology. The soul contract language is a spiritual interpretation of those symbols, rather than evidence of a literal agreement made before birth. These themes describe possibilities for growth, with room for choice.
