Method & Assumptions
- Real orbital positions, not averaged motion: dates are found using Saturn’s true geocentric ecliptic longitude (standard low-precision planetary orbital elements), then searching for the exact day it crosses your natal degree — accurate to within about a day for most birth years, with precision narrowing outside the 1800–2050 range this method is built for.
- Why some returns show three dates: Saturn moves retrograde for roughly four and a half months every year. Near most returns it crosses your natal degree once going direct, once again going retrograde, and a final time going direct again. Astrologers usually treat that final pass as “the” exact return, though the whole stretch tends to be felt.
- Sign is calculated for you from your birth date alone. House and any conjunct planet require your birth time and location, so those are entered manually if you already know them from a full chart.
